It is believed that the Phoenicians first introduced the olive tree to Iberia (in the region of what is now Spain) in 1050 BC. The intrinsic characteristics of the FARGA variety, the climate and the terrain are conducive to the long life of these olive trees, which have been able to adapt perfectly to the environment.

A beautiful and expressive ink drawing overlaid with chalk and charcoal.
A fresh and loosely painted ink study of an ancient olive tree in Spain.
